Wayne Dalton Wizard garage door openers were originally equipped with
varying types of radio receivers and remote controls.
If you have a remote control for your garage door opener, look at the
pictures of remote controls listed on the Wizard products page
to find one that looks very similar to yours. When you find a remote control that looks similar, click on the picture and go to the remote control details page. This has information on the remote control and pictures, as well as a compatibility section so you can check to make sure it is the same as what you have.
If
you cannot determine what type you have or you do not have a remote control to work with, we recommend that you install
a new radio receiver/transmitter. The new radio gear will also make
your garage door opener HomeLink compatible and features the new
rolling code technology for added security. The one we recommend is
our HomeLink Radio Receiver Transmitter Kit 1 (this includes the new receiver and one remote control). It is quick
and easy to install. Since it is an add-on receiver, you can continue
to use any remote controls and keypads that are currently working with
your garage door opener. You can add additional remote controls at any
time and also a wireless keyless entry keypad if you desire.
For further information on the HomeLink kit, please click on HomeLink on the menu on the left side of this page.
