MultiCode Selection Guide
The only Multicode frequency currently made is 300Mhz.

To determine if your garage door opener uses 300Mhz radio frequency Multicode system, please look for the Multicode 1090 radio receiver box on the outside of the garage door opener powerhead or look on the back of your existing remote control for the words 3089, or 300Mhz. The MultiCode 1090 radio receiver is a gray box present on back of garage door opener powerhead (motor mounted to ceiling of garage).  To see what the receiver looks like visit the Multi Code receiver page.

Compatible remote controls for the black rectangle shaped MultiCode remote control transmitter are no longer made. (these may say model 3089 on them, but they are not compatible with the gray version of 3089)

If your remote control transmitter or keypad uses another frequency such as 310Mhz, it is not compatible with the current models.

If you cannot see the radio receiver or are not sure it is the same one we have pictured, we recommend that you install a new radio receiver/transmitter. The new radio gear features the new rolling code technology for added security. The one we recommend is our HomeLink Radio Receiver Transmitter Kit 1. It is quick and easy to install. Since it is an add-on receiver, you can continue to use any remote controls and keypads that are currently working with your garage door opener.
